| Mission |
|
OLAA has a specific mission - to stimulate and coordinate statewide efforts promoting the social and economic well-being, political capacity, and civic leadership of the Latino community in Oregon.
Our goal is to establish a broad-based statewide coalition of Latino organizations, community groups, and individuals to strategically advocate and work for systems change and to develop policy recommendations on issues affecting our communities.
To these ends, we champion an open and participatory model of engagement, supported by sound research and social analysis, and non-partisan political and the legislative processes. |

Community Spotlight
Cultivando Liderazgo is a ten-hour leadership training culturally tailored for rural Latino populations as part of the Ford Institute Leadership Program.
RDI has facilitated Latino leadership trainings in over 20 communities in Oregon and four other states. These trainings are dynamic, informative, and relevant to Latino traditions in rural communities.
Cultivando Liderazgo is intended to increase unity among Latinos in the community, to increase Latino participation in the community, and to develop the dreams that the participants have for their community life.
